Bill: In-House Protocol Reform - 3737
Details
Submitted by[?]: Great National Republican Guard
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 3746
Description[?]:
Upon passage of this bill, the post of the "Speaker" of the Presidium will be abolished. Members of the Presidium will address their concerns to the President, and the President will generally address "Members of the Presidium" without engaging in direct arguments with individual members. If, for example, the President disagrees with a comment made by the Opposition Leader, the President will say "Members of the Presidium, I disagree with the Opposition Leader because" instead of saying "I disagree with you because" in a direct address to the Opposition Leader. Likewise, if someone disagrees with the President, he/she will say "I disagree with the government's stance" instead of directly saying "the President's" stance. This will avoid heated dialogue. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, The President is too busy running the country to sit in the legislature all day chairing our debates. Also, it is unlikely the President would be respect as an impartial chairperson in the way that you, Mr. Speaker, are. Anton Rietveld Chairman of the Conservative Monarchist Alliance |

Message | Mr. Speaker, This President will have no part in this. The Speaker is a cherished tradition in our eyes and the President does not have time to be ever-present in the Presidium. -- Francis M Jones III President of Lodamun. |
