Bill: Political Freedom Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Alorian Communist Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2054
Description[?]:
We are disgusted by Aloria's policy towards govt employee's. People employed in the government should be selected unbiasedly to provide a better service. Plus, this means whenever a new government is elected we would have to fire all politically appointed employees. We live in a democracy, so let us cease this undemocratic policy! |

Proposal[?] to change Appointments and requirements for government employees.
Old value:: Government employees are selected and appointed in a political way.
Current: Government employees are selected and appointed in a political way.

From | Fair Capitalism Party | To | Debating the Political Freedom Act | Message | Hmm. After careful consideration, I agree. I don't think it's possible for this bill to pass now. And especially for the one-article bills, it's best to move it to voting immedietely. |

From | Alorian Communist Party | To | Debating the Political Freedom Act | Message | Government employee's can be anything from the police to binmen, teachers to tax collectors. The members of our parliament are elected, that is representation. Only employing policemen that follow the doctrine of your party is fascism! |

From | Alorian Communist Party | To | Debating the Political Freedom Act | Message | No, you misunderstand what I am saying. They must be independant whilst working, they can obviously have their own opinion in their own time. Furthermore, I doubt a teacher would go on strike simply because their party didnt win an election. Any foolish teacher or police officer that does such a thing, in my opinion, should be fired as we dont need people like them forcing their political believes down our throats. Your idea is also extremely inefficient - every 4 years we may have to fire every government employee in the country and rehire them, making sure only voters of the winning parties get into power. |

From | Libertarian Party | To | Debating the Political Freedom Act | Message | We are talking about THE Government employees, not employees in state service. Those in state service must act politically independent even when having their political preferences in private. The Governmental employees often act in concord with their political views... You got it mixed. |
