Bill: Phasing Out Child Labour

Details

Submitted by[?]: Kongres Kebangsaan Malivia

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 3741

Description[?]:

Child labour is an unfortunate stain on the honour of Malivia. It would be wrong and chaotic to ban this despicable practice all at once, rather the Government seeks a gradual phase out, beginning first with regulating child labour to a greater extent than adult labour.

The Government propose to limit to four hours a day the maximum amount of time a child below the age of 16 (but above 12) can work. Children under the age of 12 cannot undertake any labour whatsoever.

Shila Sandha
Trade and Industry Minister
