Status[?]: passed

Voting deadline: November 3742

Description[?]:

Mr. Speaker,

Henry Percy has worked hard behind closed doors and used many unoffical channels to ease some of the 'unfair' restrictions that has been put in place against our nation. In what many have failed, progressive liberal administrations or die hard nationalism, but this administration is succeeding to open international doors again. By this i ask the Presidium the confidence of this administration to continue with the Henry Percy's reforms and to support 'moderate nationalism'.

MessageMr. Speaker,

1) We have no like for Zardugal in any case, so this means nothing to us.
2) This mere resolution being passed in Zardugal is not above the treaty they signed, which binds the government on a higher level: http://classic.particracy.net/viewtreaty.php?treatyid=2771

Zardugal has deceived the gullible members of EL.

MessageMr. Speaker,

We are not interested in hearing more lies.
Zardugal set a bill for treaty withdrawals earlier this year, and the anti-Lodamun treaty wasn't on the list of treaties they wanted to withdraw from: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=419397

Now, they make a resolution which will have no effect because they still have this treaty signed: http://classic.particracy.net/viewtreaty.php?treatyid=2771

Now that we have exposed their dishonesty, they may end up withdrawing from the treaty afterwards, but we see no evidence of intention to have done it before. The treaty withdrawal could have been a part of the same resolution. It makes no sense to have the resolution which contradicts a signed treaty. They should have withdrawn from the treaty while passing that resolution.

Our original comment made no "accusation" of Zardugal. We simply stated that they are passing a resolution and not a treaty withdrawal.

MessageMr. Speaker,

Nowhere has the EL claimed that Zardugal is set to withdraw from the unfair and unjust treaty that has put sanctions upon Lodamun. We stated that Zardugal is easing the sanctions that are being placed upon us.

I think the GNRG should learn the difference between a full withdrawal and easing.

MessageMr. Speaker,

The treaty doesn't require mere "restrictions" that can be eased. The treaty specifies harsh sanctions. What the Zardic government is doing now is no major improvement. We don't care about what they're doing. When they withdraw from the treaty, we'll care more.

We don't see much of a change taking place.

MessageMembers of the Presidium,
Do not believe the lies of the GNRG. Zardugal is committed to further the human rights of all people and we have hope that the new administration can transform Lodamun into a respecter of human rights. This government has so far showed itself to be focused on democratic reform and in their last term they passed a series of reforms to show that they are serious about reform.
With such steps being taken, we have decided to ease some of our more harsh sanctions. In addition to the sanctions enacted by the treaty, we undertook further sanctions to ensure total embargo and non-intercourse. However, given the recent actions here, we have loosened some of our own restrictions. We do not seek perpetual tensions,. We seek to cooperate in a positive manner to reduce tensions, promote human rights and further democratic reform.
Now that such steps have been taken, we are currently in the process of organizing a conference between our nations, other interested parties and relevant NGO's to pursue this path of peace and DE-escalating tensions. Make no mistake though, if reversals of the current policy are enacted, if the human rights situation deteriorates further here, more aggressive sanctions will be enacted.
We have stretched out the hand of peace, let us work together.

MessageMr. Speaker,

Where have we lied? We simply stated that the Zardic government hasn't withdrawn from the anti-Lodamun treaty. Until they withdraw from it, we won't be satisfied.

MessageMr. Speaker,

What some parties called "progress" at some point had led to the weakening of our Great Democratic Republic and our isolation from the world. Before that "progress" had occurred, Lodamun was perfect. It should be no surprise that we are reluctant to support what some "moderate" MPs call "progress" or to accept demands from imperialist countries which want to dictate our internal affairs.

MessageMr. Speaker,

This is just the opposite of what is happening here. Zardugal is easing sanctions and we are crawling out of isolationism created by some former parties. Reciting that "progress" is weakening our nation is an unjust fact and a grotesque lie of the GNRG. Zardugal knows our demands for the 'talks' and are open to it, not the other way around.

MessageMr. Speaker,

We know perfectly to what the GNRG is referring to. The GNRG is generalising progress by referring to some other 'failed cabinets' who tried to deblockade the embargoes that leads towards a weaker Lodamun. Now they refer the same 'progress' to our administration. I can only say one thing, many cabinets have failed, even after implementing dozens of reforms. But we, Mr. Speaker, we have achieved it BEFORE implementing some crucial reforms on human rights.

MessageNo, Mr. Speaker.

We're referring to the time that the blockades actually started, not the time that the government tried to get out of them. Notice we said that certain things "led" to the blockades.
