Details

Voting deadline: July 3746

Description[?]:

Herr Präsident,

We believe national authorities should do more to prevent possible abuses of our national passport by malefactors. The current policy of not making any check whether the information provided adds up for the sake of security is most unwise and can only lead to damage to our international reputation. While I am not very impressed by the likes of Lodamun's GNRG seeing a conspiracy on our behalf every time anything goes wrong, it is a real concern that anyone claiming to be a citizen can obtain a passport right now. A cursory security check would go a long way towards ensuring that our passports cannot be falsified as easily, and therefore add to both internal security and external reputation. We believe this strikes the best balance between the absolute freedom to travel of all our citizens and their right to security.
