Bill: Cyber Intelligence Department

Details

Submitted by[?]: Conservative Monarchist Alliance

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 3748

Description[?]:

The present "Hacking Department" has 4 key duties:

"- Actively search, hack and destroy websites and servers around the world who are critical upon Lodamun and Lodamese Nationalism.
- Actively engage in a online warfare by hacking and stealing classefied documents in defence and financial areas.
- Actively spreading propoganda on the web in favour of Lodamese Nationalism and our nation.
- Actively defending and upgrading our nations web security and government networks."
(OOC:see http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=418813 )

This Bill proposes to rename the "Hacking Department" as the "Cyber Intelligence Department" and remove from it the authority to "Actively engage in a online warfare by hacking and stealing classefied documents in defence and financial areas" and to "Actively engage in a online warfare by hacking and stealing classefied documents in defence and financial areas". The new Cyber Intelligence Department would continue to fall under the responsibility of the Minister of Internal Affairs, and would continue to have responsibility for protecting government networks and promoting Lodamun and Lodamese Nationalism on the web.

We believe this reform would inspire the confidence of Lodamun's international partners.

MessageMr. Speaker.

Once again shocked. Why should foreign countries rename our OWN branches of intelligence. We are confused about the CMAs agenda. Lodamun has never been a weak country that bows down to international pressure. We might as well be a colony. How embarrassing. From this day forth we will never enter into a government with the CMA.

MessageMr. Speaker,

I am happy to assure Matteo Power that the CMA is not, nor ever has been, the agent of any foreign power.

MessageMr. Speaker,

I share the concerns expressed by Matteo Powers.
We tried to warn the Presidium: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=416529

The CMA does not represent the interests of Lodamun or its citizens. The CMA represents the interests of Hosianism, monarchy, fascism, and foreign imperialism.

MessageMr. Speaker,

We would be interested to hear from the FRC as to why they are opposed to this eminently sensible measure.

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, it is the responsibility of players to ensure the candidate boxes on their Party Overview screens are filled in with appropriate names. If a player is allotted seats in a Cabinet bill and has not filled in names for the relevant candidate position, then the program will automatically fill in the positions with names which might not necessarily be appropriate for the Cultural Protocols.
