Bill: Reformist Government

Details

Submitted by[?]: Conservative Monarchist Alliance

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 3748

Description[?]:

The current government has made modest progress, but is being held back by the inclusion of the reactionary nationalist Justice & Development Party. In order to allow the government to pursue a more constructive agenda, we propose that the JDP should be dropped from the coalition.

Chairman of the Conservative Monarchist Alliance

MessageMr. Speaker,

The JDP has reformist tendencies, similar to the other parties. As evidence, I present the following bills:
- Religious Law Review: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=420247
- Educational Improvement Act: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=420205

We believe that the CMA is opposed to the JDP being in the government because of the JDP's perfect handling of the Internal Affairs Ministry and the Justice Ministry. The CMA sees the JDP's effectiveness as a threat to their clandestine terrorist agenda.

If Gordon Fertig uttered those words outside of this chamber, I would sue him for every penny he has.

I am utterly offended by the CMA divide and conquer strategy that they are using. Who are they to tell us what our coalition should be. They clearly lack knowledge of our parties agenda that even the GNRG gets. This is a disgrace to democracy in Lodamun. This should be entirely ignored and forgotten. It means nothing. The CMA has chosen a time when the president is out of the country to propose such a bill. This is almost an attempted coup and must be noted. The office of the president should be respected.
