MessageLet's say that a doctor cut's off your left arm instead or removing your appendix because he drank his lunch. Under current law you could recover your medical expenses and that is it. That is ridiculous. Lawsuits shouldn't settle everything, but someone guilty of gross negligence should have to compensate someone for their emotional and physical loss, not simply medical and legal expenses. Such limitations fail to discourage good doctoring because the government has interfered by making doctors a protected class.

MessageNo. The costs should be related to real-life expenses: not all this "emotional loss" crap! This just leads to a litigious society we don't want.

MessageWhile I agree with the DUP, if the cap was set in the region of 2,500-5,000 pounds (including medical and legal costs), it would help the victims get back on their feet, without bankrupting most doctors (who are likely to be in the 5,000-30,000 economic brackets), without creating the litigious society we all fear.

MessageSuch a cap would need to be stated in the bill itself before it got our support.

MessageIn anycase, such a cap should be enough to help the victim, without being enough to create a need for lawyers.

MessageOK, I will bring up a new bill after this failed. Although doctors can have insurance to minimize the risk of bankruptcy, but I think the cap should be higher, I mean what if the doctor accidentally removed your testes, would you take 5000 pounds for that?

MessageYou have to remember that in Luthori, the highest income is just over 30,000 pounds. Which means either the Luthori pound is worth alot, or we are a poor nation.

Random fact: It is not allowed to call more than 5 elections in 5 game years in a nation. The default sanction for a player persisting in the early election tactic will be a seat reset.
