Message | Senor Presidente, The PWG is glad that there is another party that pays attention to the environment. While we support this bill in general, we do however have questions about the article on Waste Disposal Responsibility. The current law legislates that local governments regulate waste management and either manage their own or contract to private disposal sites. Currently all waste - residential, commercial, and industrial - are collected by local authorities to be delivered to the appropriate treatment facilities. Does the LDP`s proposal mean that commercial and industrial waste will have to be delivered to treatment facilities by the businesses themselves, and that these businesses will have to find and contract with such facilities on their own?
