MessageMinimum wage decreases jobs. Here's what a company will do if there's a higher minimun wage:

Let's say a company has 100 dollars per hour to spend on wages. They pay 10 workers $10 an hour. Then, let's say the minimum wage is raised to $14 an hour. Then, the company will pay 7 workers a wage of $14 an hour, and then 3 workers get laid off. Would you rather have 10 workers just barely getting by, or 7 workers barely getting by but not in as big of trouble with 3 people starving and homeless? That's what I thought. We are against this bill!

MessageYou are overlooking the fact that a minimum wage increase only helps small business and large corporations. Minimum wage increases reduce employee turnover, which in turn, reduces employee training costs, and also puts more money in the pocket of consumers, which they can then spend on products. A low minimum wage will just make income inequality grow.

MessageIf we had a stable, non-dynamic population, I'd be all for it, but minimum wage is proven to increase unemployment. We can't let that happen to our country.
