Bill: Son of Lodamun - Walter Schmitz

Details

Submitted by[?]: Conservative Monarchist Alliance

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 3760

Description[?]:

Mr. Speaker,

My father, Walter Schmitz, died a martyr for his faith and his principles in July 3722, when he was wrongly executed as a traitor and heretic. The example he set inspired millions, both in Lodamun and abroad. He never held public office, yet he had a more profound impact on his society than most Cabinet ministers or even Presidents. Walter Schmitz stood for all that was best in Lodamun. He was a man of courage, of faith, of integrity and of determination. He taught me how to live, and in the end, how to die. In recognition of all this, Mr. Speaker, it is my honour to posthumously propose Walter Schmitz for the Son of Lodamun award.

MessageMr. Speaker,

That man broke the law, and he did not inspire more people than most of our government officials. The only persons he inspired were HLF terrorists. He is not a son of Lodamun, and the faith he died for was a foreign faith that does not belong in Lodamun.

He died by breaking the law at the time, and other laws at the time required that his death sentence. Is Helmut saying that he was taught to die by breaking the law? In any case, he did not teach Helmut how to die properly because Helmut is still alive.

MessageMr. Speaker,

we applaud the selection of 'a common man' to receive the honorary medal 'Son of Lodamun'. We believe Walter was NOT a common man. The people who make Lodamun great are the hard working common citizens. Walter caused trouble in our Republic. Therefore, we believe he is not fit to receive this medal.

MessageMr. Speaker,

I do not think that it would be appropriate to give out this medal at this time. His death, while regrettable, was not something to aspire to. We do not need martyrs in Lodamun. I do not wish to encourage people to die for their faith, which is essentially what Mr. Walter Schmitz did.

To the CMA at large, whomever manages to make religion freedoms happen, I think they would be much more deserving.

MessageMr. Speaker,

Even if Lodamun needed martyrs, this man did not die for Lodamun. He died for a foreign imperialistic religion for breaking our law. Soon enough, Hosian extremists will want to call all Hosian terrorists "martyrs" when they die after our security forces engage them for bombing abortion clinics, attacking LGBT pride rallies, etc.

This man should have known the law. He wanted to be an MP without knowing the law? He should have known that the death penalty would have been applied. He threw himself into a situation of harm so that he could seek attention for his party. The members of his party want to do the same thing again. They want to break a law that is about to be passed, and paint themselves as victims when they know what they are doing and that there are legal consequences: http://forum.particracy.net/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=57&p=78860#p78860

MessageMr. Speaker,

This debate amply demonstrates why Walter Schmitz is just as relevant to Lodamun today as he was in 3722. We need to hear the message of his life more than ever.
