This is a vote on the proposition given by another country. "We create the Confederation of Makon, a supranational and confederal union of the nations of Makon. Government Set-up Section I: Confederate Senate Each national head of state or government shall appoint 20 Senators to serve in a senate that shall have the right to set laws for all nations of the Confederation but shall only pass laws regarding Economics, a Supranational Constitution and Social Security. Section II: Confederation Chancellor The head of the Confederation shall be a Chancellor who shall assist nations in solving constitutional and foreign affair (between nations of Makon) disputes. The Chancellorship shall rotate between national Heads of Governments or if none then Heads of States. Trade There shall be no tariffs between nations of Makon. Each member state must maintain diplomatic relations and embassies to and in other member states. All member states must be mixed or free market capitalist or market socialist. Taxes Each nation shall give a small tax to the Confederation to support the Confederation. Capital The capital shall rotate between capital cities of the member states. Alliance All member states will have an alliance between each other and may not attack another member state." |

Message | Madam Speaker, This is an interesting proposal. Mutual cooperation can be beneficial for our nation in this. I'm only worried about the democratic factor because you say the government or head of state appoints its senators. An alternative would be that our seats in the senate be divided by the voting results. For example if a party has got 10 percent of the votes it would get 10 percent of the seats given to the nation. Message | As I understand it correctly, the head of the state of each country will switch as to be the chancellor depending on the period of the mandate. As for the Senate. I would have to ask more information about it. -President Armand Zhukov- |
