| Having the right to strike is a fundamental Human right that defends workers from being exploited. Currently, certain categories of workers are not guaranteed this fundamental right. Although there is a reasoning for this since their jobs are essential to the State, it is unjust that they are robbed of this form of self expression, protest, and defense. THEREFORE we propose this change: Current: All workers, except certain categories of workers regarded as critical to society, have the right to strike. Proposed: All workers have the right to strike but certain categories of workers regarded as critical to society have to ensure a minimal service. This option ensures that workers have a right to protest but also keeps that State from lacking fundamental services. |
