Bill: Ban of Public Financing of Political Campaigns
Details
Submitted by[?]: Freedom Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 3767
Description[?]:
The UDP has already tried this before, however the bill was defeated. With the parliament new seat share the FP would like to give another chance to this bill because it fits with the FP ideology. Public taxes are not meant to go to political propaganda, first because no one knows if the tax payer is really supporting the candidate which will use tax funds to subside his political campaign. Also, using public funds for political campaign can turn the life of citizens of Solentia more costly because it might generate more taxes to cover every politician campaign. Finally, the taxes have better places to go then to the politicians campaign and also taxes should be reduced and banning public financing of political campaigns is a good way to reduce taxes. The Freedom Party urges parties that were aggainst this bill to think more about this subject, and hopefully you´ll agree with our point of view. |

Message | SPP, think of this bill as a social benefit as well. Without publicly financed political campaign, the state may reduce taxes and also use some of the money that will be saved to invest in Health or education. |
