Message | RLP opposes all three articles: 1) the intelligence agencies are only allowed covert operations in other countries; therefore the argument of protecting our citizens from domestic spying is invalid since such activities are already illegal. These covert operations can eliminate the need for military actions; or make the actions undertaken much more successful. 2) The military is a branch of the government; therefore it is the responsibility of the governmnet to determine enlistment standards. To not do so would constitute malfeasance on our part. 3) The military is the only force available on short notice to assist the police in a national emergency. This still places them under the control of the civilian authorities on the scene. |

Message | The AAS could support Article 3... but not 'at the expense' of Articles 1 and 2. Thus, we oppose. |

Random fact: It usually takes up to an hour for election results to generate. During this time, the "Next Election" date is put forward a month, which is confusing. Do not worry! In a short time, the election result will generate and the "Next Election" date will then correct itself. |
