Message | Mr. Speaker, I am appalled. No other bill could ever go against the Conservative Party as hard as this one. This bill contains everything we Conservatives stand against: bestiality, unregulated arms, redefinition of marriage, lack of copyrights. This is all a bit too much Prime Minister. Is there really a need to be socially extreme? First of all, bestiality is outright immoral and is a disgusting act. It is a violation of the scripture of the Church of Vorona. Not only is that the problem, but a new strain of a virus can be spread from animals to humans through sexual contact and, when mutated, would infect many Voronans. We cannot allow this to happen. The right honorable gentlewoman knows well that arranged marriages are when the parents choose the spouse for their child. Is that what the Libertarians want? To make arrange marriages legal and binding? This is one area where we Conservatives strongly oppose, and here's why. Conservatives want strong marriages. We believe men must find the appropriate women, and women for men, to be their lawfully wedded husband or wife. When they choose the person they love, they will more likely participate in a lasting relationship. At the heart of every issue is the importance of family, and this is an issue where we will not compromise in. This government can and should recognize only heterosexual marriages. Mr. Speaker, we all know that a relationship between a man and a woman is the only relationship that will last. Homosexual, polygamous, and other non-normal relationships are not meant to be. If humans were supposed to be like that, then why can't we reproduce in such a relationship? God meant for a man to be with a woman, and the Conservative Party will fight to make sure that these discriminatory attacks on traditional marriage will not be infringed. As for copyright laws and guns, Mr. Speaker, the Libertarians know our policy quite well. They know that when people can take credit for their ideas, competition flourishes. Why do the Libertarians want to revert our nation to a form of communism, where individual thought and perseverance is put down in the name of the collective good. Mr. Speaker, the collective good is nothing but a misnomer! Nobody will compete and work hard if they don't get credit for what they do. The Conservative Party believes in fairness and competition. We also strongly believe that guns should not be in the hands of dangerous criminals. The easiest way to do that is to ban all guns. We have some of the strictest laws on gun ownership and other forms of arms contraband, and this has led to Vorona being some of the safest places in the world now, Mr. Speaker! Why do the Libertarians want to make our society more dangerous? Mr. Speaker, the Conservative Party cannot, I repeat, CANNOT agree to any of these proposals. We will vote now and we will work hard to make this a campaign issue. The Libertarians will be signing their electoral death warrant if they decide to pass this bill, and they will pay the price in the next election when the people realize what they have decided to do while in power. Harold Cromwell MP (Con) Deputy Prime Minister |

Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play". |
