Description[?]:
This bill proposes changes to registration of Malivian nationals and proposes an updated cultural protocol based on these registration changes. -------------- Geography and Climate: Malivia is in a tropical region on the southern end of the continent Artania. Aside from the mountains and highlands of the country’s interior (Walkunia), most of the country is low-lying coastal jungle. Eighty percent of Malivia’s population lives in these coastal regions. Malivia is bordered to the north by Darnussia and Hobrazia. History: Malivia was first formally organized through colonial efforts of Dundorf. Consequently, the country has a substantial minority of people who are of Dundorfian ancestry. Throughout the years, Malivia has gone through multiple cycles of dynastic families, replaced by anti-monarchist republics, only to see new dynastic families rise. After a complete takeover by Communist elements in 3576, rightist groups in Malivia, including the Dundorfian minority and various religious groups, banded together to drive the Communists from power and restore the monarchy. The Dundorfian Gottbergen family has ruled Malivia from 3582, but was once again deposed by Communist factions. Dissatisfaction with secular governments who oppressed the Geraja majority led to Gerajan Nationalist victories in the late 3700s. People: The Malivian people are based on those who reside in RL South Asia and historically spoke a similar language. However, the Gottbergen dynasty has used the power of the state to push the introduction of the King’s native Dundorfian (German) language and Hosian (Christian) faith. Current demographics reflect this rich tradition of pluralism and multiculturalism, within a religious Gerajan framework of diversity and acceptance. Economy: GDP: 575,156,559,677 MCR Census of 3769 Population: 99,558,628 Race: (numbers from 3700 Census): Malivians: 63.4% (59.8%) Mixed (Dundorfian/Malivian): 18.1% (17.9%) Dundorfians: 11% (13.3%) Alorians: 3.6% (3.8%) Hobrazians: 2.2% (2.4%) Luthorians: 1.7% (2.8%) Notes: The racial makeup of Maliva remains fairly stable. Government policies in the past encouraged Dundorfian immigration (most of these being right-leaning people fleeing from their socialist fatherland) and a high reproductive rate among Dundorfian citizens. As a result, Malivia continues to become slightly more Caucasian in complexion but remains an overwhelmingly ethnic Malivian country. Interracial marriage has also created a booming Dundorfian-Malivian population. Recent population resettlements in other nations has slightly decreased the amount of non-Malivian residents. Language: Malivian Only: 13.2% (9.8%) Malivian, Dundorfian: 62% (64.1%) Malivian, Dundorfian, Luthorian: 11.2% (11.2%) Dundorfian Only: 13% (15.5%) Other: 0.6% (0.4%) Religion Geraja (Hinduism): 64.2% (40.9%) Evangelical Luthoran Church of Malivia (Evangelical Lutheran Christianity): 15.8% (26.1%) Aurorian Patriarchal Church (Roman Catholicism): 8.2% (14.9%) Other Hosian (Charismatic/Pentecostal Christian): 3.7% (6.8%) Ahmadism (Islam) 2% (0%) None: 4.1% (7.0%) Other: 2% (4.3%) Notes: Following Geraja faith based initiatives followers of the indigenous religion now feel more secure in affirming their faith in public. For this reason many who nominally registered as following other faiths have switched back to the religion that they had long been practicing in secret. Ahmadism, formerly counted as "other", has now reached a 2% threshold. |
