Message | Mr. Speaker, This bill makes mention of "recognised religions" without defining which religions will be recognised. Also, if the state doesn't have a religion, and if the state therefore doesn't regulate religion, we should at least regulate religious schools if we are going to allow them. To have religious school "with no regulations" is silly. -- Andre Fertig, Chairman of the GNRG, Minister of Trade & Industry, Vice President of Lodamun |

Message | Mr. Speaker, We would like it to be mentioned in the bill itself, so that our legal development will continue. We are pleased that the NCU wants to uphold the ban on monotheistic religions like Hosianism, and we ask the LPC to retract its claims. We still remain concerned, however. Lodamese Nationalism is about the state, and this bill will separate the state and Lodamese Nationalism by allowing other religions to set up schools without state regulation. Lodamese Nationalism, on the other hand, requires state intervention. We propose keeping the official state religion, while keeping it voluntary. We have ensured to keep it voluntary, unlike the LPC that wanted it to be mandatory. -- Andre Fertig, Chairman of the GNRG, Minister of Trade & Industry, Vice President of Lodamun |
