MessageThis is wonderful legislation for a theocracy. And if we were in one, we would support. However, I notice the name of our country is the REPUBLIC of Likatonia.

JLP opposes.

MessageTo the Justice and Liberty party - We thank you for your observation. The PSS will now consider introducing legislation to change the name of the country at some stage in the future.

To the RLP - We also beleive in choices, however the only way to choose whether to be a beleiver or not is to be exposed to religious ideal. By not offering the option of the righteous path we are essentially creating a generation of non-beleivers by default.

To the AAS - Absolom ben Adamah says hello.

MessageTo the PSS:

The option to be exposed to the religious ideal is existant in current law. It needs to compete in the marketplace of ideals with all others, and will stand or fall on its merits. Were there any law restricting the right to teach any religious principles, we would oppose as well.

MessageHow can "Teacher-led prayers in schools are forbidden, except in religious schools" expose any children in state schools to the religious ideal ?

MessageIf the parents wish the children exposed to the religious ideals of a particular religion, they can choose to send their children to that religion's schools or teach the children themselves. If they do not wish the children exposed to the religious ideals, they have an alternative, the public schools. Under your proposals, there would not be an alternative for those parents who do not support any organized religion to educate theirt children except home schooling.
