Bill: Religious Responsibilities Bill
Details
Submitted by[?]: Geraja Janata Parishad
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 3795
Description[?]:
This modified bill is now called the Religious Responsibilities BIll. We propose that the delicate issue of blasphemy be decided by regional government, that adults (as determined by age) are responsible for their speech, that the state does not pay for the legal representation of rich blasphemers, and that government sponsored art is religious in nature. --------------------------- The government must stamp out offensive and incendiary materials being published that slander the Geraja faith. These reckless acts are dividing our peoples and giving succour to terrorists, enemies of the nation and the most risible atheist factions. News Item: http://forum.particracy.net/viewtopic.php?f=17&p=81689#p81689 EDIT: In response to protests against the bill we have toned down legislation so that public blasphemy become a minor offence rather than a felony. |
