Bill: Retirement Protection Plan
Details
Submitted by[?]: National Imperial Hobrazian Front
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 2054
Description[?]:
The nation currently has too high of a retirement age, which I believe most of us can agree on. For the best interest of the working class, we propose that the retirement age be set to 65 years. This is neither too young nor too old. The person may continue working if they so desire, but a full pension will be provided at 65. |
Proposals

Message | Previous attempts at lowering this were a bit extreme. However, I believe that 65 is an appropriate age for this to be set at. This way the working class is protected without cutting out able-bodied individuals that still wish to work into their golden years. |

Message | We agree. This new age is much more preferable. |

Message | No. We do not support forcing able bodied workers to leave the job force before they wish too. |

Message | Perhaps there should be a clause stating that at this point people may retire, with a full pention, if they wish or they may continue working as they did before? |

Message | We would find that acceptable. |
Date | 16:30:16, May 17, 2005 CET | From | Socialist Party | To | Debating the Retirement Protection Plan |
Message | Though we believe it should be even lower, we will support this as it is a step into the direction I want to see it. We object to the PPOL's reasonings, as certain managers and stuff always work till a higher age than state pension and such, but the age of 70 enforces many people to work until they are seventy years old, if they want to have a living, which I believe is way too old. |
