MessageMr. Speaker,

We will support articles one, two and three. Yet we do believe that DWC's can have positive impact in some cases, we do see no point for tax exemptions.

If any other party echoes this, we will remove article 4.

We would support if the DWC and Salary Cap article was removed.

MessageComrade Speaker,

We will remove the article on DWCs, but request a reason for the removal of the Salary Cap.

MessageMr.Speaker,

We do not believe it promotes economic growth to put a cap on how much people can earn. If trade unions would like to attempt the negotiation of salary caps they have the freedom to do so, however we shall not obligate trade unions to do that. We feel the current law is the best way, and unless that is removed we shall certainly vote it down.

MessageMr Speaker,
It appears the Opposition supports anarchy! What happens when the police go on strike and provision for the public safety is stopped? What happens when EMT's go on strike and provision of emergency services stops? What happens when teachers or other public servants go on strike? Who will provide the service gap left by their striking? The answer is no one. I encourage our fellow governing parties to reverse their own voting on this poorly thought-out legislation which will make the provision of government services more difficult.

MessageMr.Speaker,

The our right and honorable friend surely has his heart in the right place, however this essentially boils down to freedom. If a police department that is severely underfunded cant go on strike what leverage do they have? We do not see the Police going on strike, my department, the Justice department, is well funded. If the police do go on strike we can call in the military as a last reserve measure. The current law is another example of government intrusion into our every day lives and we urge members across the Congress to vote for it.
