Bill: Eco-Friendly Transportation Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Libertarian-Socialist Coalition

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 2169

Description[?]:

To reduce harmful air emissions from automobiles and help improve the quality of our environment, the LSP proposes the following:

1) Tax rebates of up to 75% of sales taxes paid on cars designated either as hybrid vehicles or fuel-efficient vehicles and vehicles that run on alternative fuels deemed environmentally friendly.

Rather than mandating hybrid cars and alternative fuels altogether, this law will benefit the conservationist rather than simply punish the polluter.
