Mrs. Sessei At the current moment, Governors does not have a set election, so they are in office for however long and when they retire, they seem to pick the next one. We need to change that right now. Section I. Short Title This Amendment shall be named 'Governors Election Amendment' Section II. Elections Elections of the Governor shall be held every 10 years at the same time as the Supreme Court Justices. Elections will take place in the Kokkai Government Building where the Kokkai will vote on who shall be the governor. Section III. Terms The Governors may serve up to 4 terms in office. That's 40 years. They may be voted out of the term by the Kokkai and the Cabinet. This can only happen if the Governor served 2 terms. Section IV. Deputy Governor The Deputy Governor acts as a Governor with less powers as the Governor. The Deputy Governor serves as the 2nd in command of the State. If the Governor does or retire or is unable to fulfill its duties, the Deputy Governor will be put in office by the Attorney General in the state. Section V. Conclusion Once amended, action will be taken in the next election. |

Random fact: Party candidates for head of state elections are not visible to the public. This means that you cannot see who will run and who will not, which adds another strategic element to the elections. |
