Message | "The Social Incentive was a long-standing Unionist programme of reward for Solenntian citizens who have performed great service to our country. It was designed to infer a tokenistic title to those citizens who have made great progress in matters of State, Science, Academia, Charitable Works, Military Service, Social Service or Moral Leadership. Under these banners, those citizens would be entitled to style themselves a Lord or Lady. They would be presented with this title and the deed to it in an annual ceremony by the Supreme President. This programme has a history of good works, allowing for Solentian Statesmen, teachers, doctors, nurses, social workers, scientists and other citizens of great service to their country to be recognised for their contribution. It has a strong track record of merit and acting as an incentive for patriotism and so I present this matter to the Senate for approval; the Great Social Incentive." Message | "These titles and honors are things of the past. We should not return this relic of the past, of the medieval era, when so called 'Lords' deprived people from their freedom and exploited them. We vote no." Julia Wise, leader of the progressive faction. |

Message | "The only instance in the history of our country of Lords existing has been within the Social Incentive programe. This nonsense about exploitation and a so-called "medieva era" are falsehoods, SDP propaganda designed to prevent the State rewarding Solentians of good standing merely because they do not fit into the pretty picture of historical revisionism the SDP promulgate."
