| Mr. Speaker, We would like to pass the ZSI bailout agreement. An agreement made between Ministry of Industry, Unions and ZSI and it's debtors. The DEAL; 1. LOAN 1.1 The Federal Government shall be the guarantor for an emergency loan of 2.5 billion ZAR. 1.2 The Federal Government shall be the guarantor for any other emergency loans over the next 3 years. 2. Stakeholder 2.1 The Federal Government shall have in return 33.33% of the shares and is with this the major stakeholder. 2.2 The Federal Government shall have veto power in any decision making plan until the debt is re-payed. 3 Reorganization 3.1 ZSI shall sell or close several non profitable production lines within 6 months. 3.2 ZSI shall lay off 8000 workers of the non profitable production lines. 3.3 The workers who are not being laid off shall receive a 5% pay cut. 3.4 Managers shall receive a pay cut of 25%. 3.5 No bonuses shall be awarded until the company is making a profit again. 3.6 CEO Jacob Lopetro shall replaced. The financial experts within my Ministry all agree that it would take up to 3 years to make this company solvable again. We can not let 43500 people lose their jobs.
