HISTORY OF THE BILL

Kaiser Chann, Chairman of the CNP, launched a national effort to raise the mandatory education age limit. Arguments for the change are that no person should be without a college degree in the modern age.

Message"Some people are academics, others are not. The Unionists believe most vehemently that Solentia's young people can make that decision for themselves. There is no sense in forcing these people to attend a University or even a vocational college, wasting 5 years of their lives, if they already know that they don't want to go or use these qualifications.

Young people deserve trust and respect; if they want to leave school at 17 and graft hard in the workshop or the foundry, we intend on supporting them in that decision."
