Details
Submitted by[?]: Federal Green Party (FGP)
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 3812
Description[?]:
The Reform Option seeks to change our energy production to move us increasingly towards renewables. Nuclear Energy is better than Coal or Oil Energy production. But it is ultimately also non-renewable in the long term. Not to mention that we have no ways to store the nuclear waste generated from Nuclear Energy Production. As such we propose a gradual move away from Nuclear Energy over the next few decades. The government should not shut down Nuclear Plants that are already operational, but it should not use public funding to create new plants. Each plant costs a significant amount of money for taxpayers, money that can much be more efficiently used by promoting research and production of truly renewable energy sources. This way over the next 50 years or so we should be able to both be Nuclear-Free in terms of energy production as well as use less fossil fuels for energy production. This approach will assure our success, wellbeing and prosperity well into the future! |

Message | How do you propose to get rid of the Nuclear Waste? Besides that, Nuclear Energy is not a long term improvement. We simply replace coal with uranium and in the long run we still run out of both. Let's start moving towards renewable energy so that we can be independent and prosperous in the very long term! |
