MessageThis bill is common sense. Politicians should never be treated as career politicians. Elected officials are public servants and ought to be paid a relatively low salary to thank them for their service. Paying too much leads to the wrong types of people running for office.

The Reform Option wants more people who represent the interests of lower class and working Solentians. Our hope is that with decreased pay we shall see fewer corruptible politicians who care more about their own check book rather than the wellbeing and prosperity of our nation.

Message"Working class people DO need access into politics however by offering only a small salary and not an average one, we are effectively pricing the poor out of politics. But that is part of the Libertarian agenda is it not? Governed by the rich and the corporate with no regard for the community or the poor?"

Unionist Legislative Lead
