| Message | Mr Speaker, We would have to analyze the current budget, but probably some combination of higher rates on top personal income, paired with modest budget cuts. We hate to cut programs but a 25 or even 21% tax on food is crippling to the poor, and even quite a burden to the middle-class. Personally I know that if that tax had been in place, back when I was a lieutenant in the Coast Guard that tax would have put a strain even on me, especially if I had had children at the time. Not everyone can stay at home and wonder the streets enjoying the trees and grass growing. Sucking the milk out of cattle cause nobody would be working the factories. while the government cuts the national budget. We would be doomed down the path of a failed state.
