Bill: Energy Reform Proposal

Details

Submitted by[?]: Federal Green Party (FGP)

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 3814

Description[?]:

Opening up Energy Production to competitive forces can only help all of us. It would allow private companies to exist freely in energy production. Imagine that you start your own solar plant, for example. You are successful and wish to expand so that you can provide cheaper energy to people at a lower cost than the Government Energy Department. Unfortunately currently you would be prevented from doing so. This clearly harms consumers who now suffer from higher energy prices than would otherwise be the case.

This bill would continue to have public energy production as well to help keep energy costs down in case there are not a lot of private options.

Random fact: There are two countries based on Egypt in the game. Cobura is based on modern Egypt with a retro twist, while Hawu Mumenhes is based on Ancient Egypt with a modernist twist.
