Bill: Womens' Freedom Directive
Details
Submitted by[?]: Free Workers' Revolutionary Front
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 3816
Description[?]:
In the interest of the working women of Aldegar, the FWRF declares that should its demands be met: All women of Aldegar shall have complete sovereignty over their bodies - the right to terminate a pregnancy shall never be withheld, and shall be provided to any woman free of charge on request. Neither shall the State deprive any woman of the right to become a mother, should they choose it - the FWRF abolishes parental qualification tests by which the the Aldegarian government exerts further patriarchal control over the reproductive choices of women. Creching and education from birth to adulthood shall be free and public, so that no woman shall be shackled unwillingly by the burden of childcare, at the expense of her full participation in leisure, labour and the community. Nor shall any woman pay for the privilege of this freedom - private business interests in the education sector which would try to extract a profit from the working mothers of Aldegar will be abolished and their assets expropriated by the working people. True freedom for all working women! Justice for the mothers of Aldegar! |
