| A local department of the RFP staged a small political protest yesterday in Port Nelson, calling for a restoration of foreign aid to the Rutanian budget. Holding up pictures of dying children abroad, they were joined, spontaneously, by some social democratic sympathisers and students. In all likelihood, the LIP organised a counter demonstration as well. |

Thousands of LIP demonstrators filled the area around Parliament, waving banners with pictures of starving Rutanians, third world dictators killing random childern and slogans such as "Not in my name" and other such petencious moralising rubbish usually associated with left-wing protestors. |
