SEC I Advertising is not subject to free speech designation as it produced to create private profit and is not concerned with the governance, collective spiritual, social or economic life of the nation. It is subject to a great degree of government regulation. This bill establishes the National Advertising Council (NAC) within the Ministry of Trade and Industry , which will be responsible for setting and enforcing advertising standards, address public opinions and complaints, fine offenders, etc. SEC II Advertising may not be or contain: -Any fraudulent study or unrealistic claim for a product -Excessively violent -Sexually explicit -Defamatory toward any religious or national institution -Oriented toward children if it is any tobacco, alcohol or narcotic. Further standards are the domain of the NAC. |
