Message | Choice disagrees with this, we believe the death penalty should be applied for capital crimes, not left up to local governments. Although it is good to give democracy to the people by letting local government play a more important role in policies, Choice believes it is unfair if certain parts of the country have the penalty while others don't. Some good real world examples of why this is unfair is the case of Charles Manson: He was caught in a state which did not have the penalty and is thus still alive today, while on of his assistants was caught in a state with the sentence and was thus executed. |
