Bill: Curfew Localization Proposal
Details
Submitted by[?]: Federal Green Party (FGP)
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 3821
Description[?]:
If passed this bill would allow local governments to set curfews for minors (persons under the age of 18) if they choose to do so. No curfews for adults would be legalized, the only thing that would change is local governments could determine curfew policies for minors (for example, no minors can walk outside after 10 PM). The purpose of this is twofold: To keep our children safe from harm, as well as to help keep them away from bad influences. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Curfew policy (curfew time to be determined in the bill description).
Old value:: No curfew policies may be established.
Current: Local governments may impose curfews, but only if a state of emergency has been declared.
Proposed: Local governments may set curfews, but national government does not.

Message | OOC: The neighborhood I live in has curfews for minors. How is it dictatorial? Sure parents should keep them safe from harm, but that is not always possible. What if the kid sneaks out? Having a curfew policy would allow police to take any kids they see outside late at night back to their home. |
