| Message | I would greatly prefer another option - that the draft is in please in case of a war, but there is no peacetime requirement. In times of crises, the government must be able to rapidly mobilize the populace for combat. I agree that a peacetime service requirement is too much, but the draft option must be open for emergencies. |

| Message | Forcing citizens to fight for wars they may not agree with only leads to trouble. Instead, we should have military service optional, with certain benefits for service. Then, we form a national militia, with every able bodies citizen being required to serve. This militia would be called up when there is a danger of invasion and act as national defense force. They would also be called up during national emergancies to aid in relief efforts. |
