Bill: Redemocratisation of the army
Details
Submitted by[?]: Post-Revolutionary Pragmatic Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 2169
Description[?]:
It is our belief that homosexuals, women, and all other minorities should have the right to join our armed forces and to be treated like all other citizens who make that choice. There is no fundamental difference that would mandate a different treatment, and as such, there shouldn't be one. All citizens, regardless of gender, colour, orientation or creed, are equal signatories to our social contract - they demand and deserve an equal chance in defending it. As an added note, we are aware similar legislation has been proposed by the Socialist Party. However, we felt it would be better to discuss this separated from WMD production and usage. |
