Message | Why not allow these areas to be handled by the states and local governments? If local and state governments wish to establish and fund public higher education facilities then they should be free to do so. As far as primary and secondary education, there should definitely be public schools alongside private schools as we have them now. We should move towards more local and state involvement here as well but to get rid of all public schools does not seem like a good course of action at all. How would this benefit working Solentians? |

Message | "Charter schools are allowed to be set up by local governments if there is desire by the community. Other than that, a full schooling privatization is requested. Notice that schools must be non-profit, and everyone will have their education paid for to a degree. Poor individuals will get more school money from the government. This money may be used for schooling and certified tutors. This will improve education and allow us to cut the education budget by about 40-50%. Sounds great for our kids and for learning in society!" ~Ted Johnson, Head chairman of the LPS and Prime Minister |

Message | "Here's why it's better: private schools are better, but most kids cant afford it. Why should certain kids be limited based on the laziness or misfortune of their parents? It our responsibility to stay out of this area." ~Ted Johnson, Head chairman of the LPS and Prime Minister |
Date | 21:28:34, March 29, 2015 CET | From | Coalition for National Unity [CNU] | To | Debating the LPS Schooling Plan |
Message | "Under this system every young person in Solentia will have to pay for their education from nursery through to adulthood. The state will "subsidise" but not-pay. Basically...education shall be treated as a commodity and only the rich will be able to afford it. Once those lucky rich people get to adulthood, they won't be able to get qualification, degrees or other certifications because the LPS just scrapped all HE institutions. No doctors, no teachers, no lawyers, no nurses, no bankers, no scientists...the LPS is, in one fell swoop, banning education in this country and calling it freedom. They should be ashamed." Qualexander Vadir, Unionist Legislative lead |
Date | 21:30:56, March 29, 2015 CET | From | Coalition for National Unity [CNU] | To | Debating the LPS Schooling Plan |
Message | "The LPS mentions charter school regulation...that they will be non-profit...but they've removed that requirement from statute...it's unenforced so they can't actually guarantee that at all. Spin and lies." Qualexander Vadir, Unionist Legislative lead |
Date | 21:51:23, March 29, 2015 CET | From | Free Democratic Party | To | Debating the LPS Schooling Plan |
Message | "No. Subsides are based on needs. If they want to spend their subsides on a cheap school and spend more of their school money for tutoring, then that's fine with us." ~Amy Smith, Secondary Chairman of the LPS |
Date | 21:52:59, March 29, 2015 CET | From | Free Democratic Party | To | Debating the LPS Schooling Plan |
Message | "We just changed the bill to make it so that disadvantaged kids will get their schooling payed for. The Unionist concerns are settled." ~Ted Johnson, Head Chairman of the LPS and Prime Minister |
Date | 21:59:32, March 29, 2015 CET | From | Free Democratic Party | To | Debating the LPS Schooling Plan |
Message | "For us being the most loved party in all of Terra, we sure don't get respect from our own legislative mates. Perhaps that's why the people love us so much. We question the status quo and try to give the people what they have been asking for centuries." ~Donny Kennedy, Youth Outreach Director of the LPS and Minister of Internal Affairs |
Date | 22:03:18, March 29, 2015 CET | From | Coalition for National Unity [CNU] | To | Debating the LPS Schooling Plan |

Date | 22:05:16, March 29, 2015 CET | From | Free Democratic Party | To | Debating the LPS Schooling Plan |
Message | "If questioning the status quo, supporting the interests of the people of Solentia, and promoting freedom, peace, and prosperity is insane, then we are insane. If that is the case, then the people of Solentia are insane as well." ~Ted Johnson, Head Chairman of the LPS and Prime Minister |

Everybody else profits. Soldiers are the ones losing their lives, losing friends, having their lives disrupted. The real victims of American imperialism are its soldiers." - Fred Gardner |
