Bill: Budget proposal of August 3824

Details

Submitted by[?]: New Aloria Party (NAP)

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 3825

Description[?]:

The New Aloria Party (NAP) propose to adjust the government's spending budget to better address the economic and social situation of the Republic of Aloria.

HOG: Symbolic cut for members of NAP's business and liberals factions that oppose the Prime Minister spot.

Justice: Crimes rates have risen in violent crimes, robberies, gang crimes, including white collar crimes like identity theft, money scams, fraud etc. Money will expand the Ministry's Bureau of Special Crimes Unit and send grants to local police departments to hire more offices. At least 450 more employees for the Justice Ministry will be hired from officers, legal experts, and criminal experts to staff a new federal crime lab.

Transport: Cut in transportation due to McCloud's drive to outsource grids and other functions to private sector. Also Science and Technology has been helping install solar panels on methods of public transportation to save energy costs. Around 400 million cut.

Education: One billion cut with most of local governments in control of funding and regulation of school systems. NAP leaders strongly believe Education has been over-funded for years since control was moved to local governments.

In future budgets President McCloud hopes to provide extra funding to Trade and Industry

MessageMr. Speaker,

The Ministry of education has devoted many of it's policies and funding to local governments, so we currently believe the education Ministry as still over-funded given it's scaled back list of responsibilities. Local governments take care of most of the funding and regulation now and been that way for a while.

-President McCloud

MessageNo....Again the department is over-funded look at the current education laws. Local governments fund mostly everything. They have the ability to cut money that is being wasted because they don't need it. It can be used elsewhere in tax cuts for all Alorians.

MessageAs the Justice Minister Steve Knox pointed out above and in recent news article, the crime rate has risen across Aloria among violent crime and gang violence particularly. The money is to help hire new federal officers, give grants to local police departments to hire more officers and help deal with high crime rates. As well upgrading a crime lab used by the federal government and reforming the Major Crimes Division of the Justice Ministry. The funds requested will help provide the necessary resources for both federal and local governments help combat the current crime wave before it becomes even more so of a crisis.
