Description[?]:
SEC. I Article 1 places adoption policy under the supervision of the State and mandates tests to be administered to applicants by the Ministry of Health and Social Services to determine eligibility and encourage healthy, proper parenting skills to adopted children. SEC. II Article 2 mandates only married couples consisting of one male and one female may have the right to adopt children in the Republic of Solentia. SEC. III Article 3 amends earlier legislation concerning child welfare to include State supervision and to include large families: 1) To encourage and enable qualified applicants to adopt several children. A large family will be defined as a minimum of Five (5) children or more living in the same household. Families of five children falling below the 'large family status' as a result of a child's death or losing a child to adulthood will continue to receive the benefit for Six (6) months to allow them to transition to a new income level. 2) Typical family size in the Republic is small and in many areas, shrinking. This tax benefit may provide a small boost to our native population. SEC. IV Article 4 clarifies no foreign marriages are recognized. Couples must choose primary nationality. SEC. V Article 5 clarifies that marriage is an institution involving one man and one woman. |

Message | Why are you so anti-gay? Why not leave people alone and let them do as they please? Any sexuality is just as natural and fine as any other sexuality when it comes to consenting adults. And even if you did think homosexuality was somehow evil, this is your personal opinion. Do not force your personal opinion on others. Imagine if gays and lesbians passed a law that only same-sex individuals could get married and adopt children. Wouldn't you be pissed off? Well rightly so! I would be just as pissed off as you, and I am just as angry to see this proposal when it comes to homosexuals, bisexuals, transexuals, you name it! People are all people and deserve equal rights before the law! |

Message | Mr Speaker, The nuclear family is the institution that lies at the core of every society. As such, it needs a special - appropriate term. We are quite satisfied with the current lack of marriage laws as it lets the civil society define those terms, though should there be a marriage law, this should be the one. We also approve of giving children in society's care the right to the most natural upbringing possible. We disagree with expanding child benefits, though. Rosalie de Fay Tribune of the Liberty Dawn |

Message | Isn't it strange that the two parties most driven towards legalizing pornography for children and letting child predators off the hook, are the same who recoil most visibly when confronted by traditional values. We thank our colleagues in the LD for their feedback. John Loring Senator, Orame, SUN National Chairman |
