Message | Mr. Speaker, I propose the following changes to the Imperial Laws governing the conduct of the Military. Firstly, the Military should be seen by the Luthori people as a model for the Luthori way of life. While Article 1 will not outright reject the possibility of having homosexuals in the military, it will provide the people of the Empire with a morally upright and respectable model for how life should be carried out on a day to day basis. The Luthori Military must not be seen as an Institution that tolerates open expressions of sexuality. Such expressions would distract our soldiers from their primary duties to protect the Holy Luthori Empire, the Imperial Crown and the Luthori people. Secondly, the laws concerning the regulation of paramilitary forces should also be amended. With the Military pride of the Nation as one of the vital issues concerning the Luthori people today, it would be a tragic loss to the People and the Crown should our Militaristic values begin to wane. If the political parties of the Empire were allowed to foster and care for this Military spirit through their own Paramilitary force, should the need arise, these separate Military forces could be used to bolster the traditional military in a time of need. Outside of wartime, these Paramilitary forces could be used not only as a separate institution from the militias to support our Nation's Military spirit, they could also be used to support the police establishment alongside the military, allowing more Military units to focus more on their previously mentioned duties to the state instead of police work. In conclusion Mr. Speaker, it is the belief of the Luthori Imperial Party that these Military Reforms be enacted to support the moral character and professionalism of the armed forces as well as foster the Military spirit and values of the Luthori people. I yield. |
