========================
NATIONAL CENSUS OF 3830
========================

NOTE: Minister of ED & Cultural Affairs is supposed to do this. But I am doing this because it hasn't been updated in forever and because it will serve as an example for future Ministers.

Pursuant to the National Census Act of 3608 (http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=400609):

HISTORICAL SUMMARY of 3820 to 3830:

The decade proved a tumultuous one for Solentia as the Kafuri-funded Ahmadi terrorists grew in influence and size throughout the northern regions of Solentia. The Chann family, which represent a large portion of the Gao-Showan population in Solentia, were leaderless from 3813-3823 since the top brass of the family and party had gone to join the revolution in Indrala to help establish a Republic.

This decade was dominated by the "Troika of Anarchy" (LPS/SDP/FGRP) and Solentia lived through a period of instability as more and more parties popped up. The politics of the era were quite interesting. The cabinet was led by Prime Minister Ted Johnson of the LPS for the entirety of the decade. Prominent Presidents of the decade included Paul Broussard of the SDP and Nalph Rader of the FGRP. Generally, the SUN had the most control over the legislature, but the SDP and the LPS had stints where they had a great deal of power. Great reforms were also led in this era, as the FGRP and the LPS worked together with opposing coalition parties like the NLP in economic deregulation and other important pieces of legislation. Newer parties like ASIS promoted religious reform leading to mandatory religion and other Ahmadi laws, but the Freedom Coalition and other opposition parties maintained way too much of the Senate to let this pass. Overall, the political outlook of Solentia during this era was interesting, but it was calm compared to the foreign affairs of the era.

In the mid-3820s, the Unionists disappeared due to unforeseen circumstances, perhaps Ahmadi abductions, noone really knows. They returned shortly after the 3829 elections when the SUN party won the presidency.

It was in the aftermath of 3829 that the Ahmadi captured a portion of the Northern city of Akra. Chann forces were the first to respond, surrounding the Ahmadis and cutting off supplies and securing the other half of the city. This bought Solentia some time as the SUN administration mobilized a large army of 100,000 under Gen. James Ridgeway, who began the hard campaign of re-stabilizing the region.

Upon the Unionist's return, the country held a special election and Kaiser Chann swept the first round with endorsements from SUN and the NLP - winning 67% of the vote. The Troika did not offer up a candidate due to miscommunication. Upon his inaugural address, President Chann issued Executive Order XI (http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=433989) which called for the seizing of all Ahmadi/Kafuri assets and mobilized an army of 160,000 under the Command of Gen. Julius Catan.

CULTURAL INFLUENCES

Major conflicts with Kafuri-funded Ahmadists has caused racial tensions as many Majatrans (OOC: Arabs), mostly concentrated in the north, were pushed out of Solentia.

Meanwhile, Gao-Showans, primarily made up of the Chann clans (Channs, Fuwans, Nukeyans), maintained a steady minority (look below).

ToDebating the NATIONAL CENSUS for 3820-3830 (OOC: hasn't been updated in a long time, culture has shifted)
MessageOOC: We can change that given that there is an active Xzarin Catholicism roleeplay now... thats why its important to keep this updated :)

I think, because of our conflict with Kafuristan and ahmadi, its safe to assume that there is a lot of backlash against Majatran civilians and Queranzariahns

MessageOOC: this is too biased against the freedom coalition. Mention the reforms that took place during the coalition's governance and the expansions of liberty. Obviously, there was instability, and I'm fine with that in there, but voting records prove that the coalition was liked. The historical background should reflect that.

MessageOOC: And you mention Kaiser Chann (hasn't really done much yet) and failed to recognize memorable and somewhat controversial
figures such as Broussard of the SDP and Johnson of the LPS (who was Prime Minister the whole decade). In addition to that, the Bank of Chann was quite influential to the decade as well as the Unionists and NLP being religiously deradicalized. The ECO party's stint in government was also important.

MessageOOC: You haven't requested any changes yet. His was a simple fix. What your asking is to add paragraphs of history - You've only complained about what WASNT in there, as opposed to drafting something coherent for me to stick in there.

How about instead of "You didn't add this or this or that"

You write up something pretty so I can addd it. Just listing names and events that you want included is like asking me to paint a dog without telling me what the dog loooks like in your head.

MessageOOC: BTW The BANK OF CHANN (陳銀) is an RP institution that I use and I'd rather keep it out of history since it really doesn't have that much of an impact. If I decide it has that much influence then maybe, but again, it's an institution I created.

ToDebating the NATIONAL CENSUS for 3820-3830 (OOC: hasn't been updated in a long time, culture has shifted)
MessageOOC: I don't believe the Majatran population should decrease. It should actually increase due to obvious political success of both the Unionists during radicalisation and ASIS. The pushing out of Ahmadi peoples is a more recent development, but a lot of work has been done by ayers to reinforce the notion of a strong and visible Ahmadi populace.

MessageOOC: I think be should mention the war in the south aswell.

Other than that i would be okey with converting some theognosianists to Xzarin Catholicism. I also support Gobb in his wish to increase the anount of ahmadists. Let's keep Solentia a multicultural country!

MessageOOC: Not entirely to my satisfaction, but i can live with this.

However, i think using the term Xzarin Catholicism might be against game rules (not using the names of rl religions etc. in game), but its up too you guys if you think it needs changing.

MessageOOC:

3. Variables

It is not allowed to use real-life politicians, organisations, religions, countries, cities etc. when choosing variables for both party (like the names of party members) or countries (like titles, the names of the country's divisons, the country's name itself). The same goes for names out of works of fiction. Examples would be Barack Obama or Harry Potter as a party member, any party name with "Christian" or "Jedi) in it, using a flag that already exists, calling the country America or having Washington as the name of a city (or, together with "George", as a person). Using broad political terms is allowed (like "communist", "liberal", "conservative"). The use of variables that are openly ridiculous or insulting also is not permitted. It is also worth restating that particracy is supposed to be mirroring the real world - which means that anything that would be considered fantasy, like elfs and dwarfs, or science fiction, is not allowed in particracy.

MessageOOC: For reference, Solentia is literally in heart of Majatra proper, the amount of Majatran people would be INSANE, it should be a slim minority. It should've always been that way but players previously were anti-Majatran.

That's just my advice to ya'll, do as you please.

    Random fact: When you join the game, you will find yourself with only zero seats. That's because your party's representatives haven't been elected yet. You need to establish your party's position on issues by proposing several bills that your party wants passed and sending them to vote. This raises your visibility and if you do it enough, you will win seats at the next election.
