MessageMr. Speaker,

My party agrees that the state should own all forest land, but not necessarily manage it. Also, the FJS has provided no evidence that our forests are declining. Despite being privately-owned, our forests are already protected by other legislation which requires private foresters to have licences, and we have strict requirements including one where tree plantation must be higher than the number of trees cut down in any given area.

My party has prepared a separate bill on the issue: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=434202
We find it interesting that the FJS keeps proposing to have the state responsible for everything except the media, while wanting to cut the state's budget to ensure that the state operates as inefficiently as possible. We cannot have the low-tax paradise that the FJS wants if we're going to be increasing the responsibilities of the state.

I'm not a fan of deforestation, but I think it's time that we cut down Amanda Greentree. My neighbour has a chainsaw that I can borrow, and we can cut her down right here in the Presidium.
