for those of you to lazy to follow the link I'll list the tenets here.

Fair Trade Agreement

The nations of Malivia, Dundorf, and Hutori (hereafter referred to as THE SIGNATORIES) agree to the following provisions to govern trade between their nations.
A. The signatories agree to establish, no latter than two years after the ratification of this treaty, a commission to certify businesses in the signatories as fair trade (hereafter referred to as THE COMMISSION).
B. The commission shall be made of one appointee from each of the signatories.
C. The commission shall establish its own rules and procedures for the certification process.
D. The signatories agree to remove all tariffs on fair trade goods from other signatories.
E. The signatories agree to set tariffs on fair trade goods from other nations at no more than 6%.

Signatories:
Malivia

As you can see there is currently only a single signatory yet its under debate in many countries at the moment I expect many of the big players as well as our immediate neighbours to sign up from the look of the discussion.

If we choose to ratify this treaty we loose some control over our ability to set tarrifs , but weighed against the potential to promote better working standards beyond our borders I think this organisation is worthwhile.

Membership in this pact will also aid to increase our presence on the international scene (a potentially important factor in the near future) which until now has been rather minimal.

I am fastracking this legislation so it will be put up for vote immediately
