Bill: Changing the number of seats in parliment
Details
Submitted by[?]: DOLGARIA NATIONAL PARTY {DNP}
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 3832
Description[?]:
Due to the ever changing political climate of Dolgaria and the fact we have a growing amount of parties, here at Choice we believe it would be appropriate to increase the number of seats in parliament for the next election. Due to us having many parties, we believe the rather large increase from 400 to 750 seats is appropriate and this way, our government will represent the wishes of the people much more efficiently. |
Proposals
Article 1

Message | We have to side with the Radical Democrats on this. Adjusting the seat count won't dramatically affect representation. |

Message | Well here at Choice we feel we should increase the seats because that way more minor parties with less votes can achieve a small portion of seats, which is more democratic. We believe this should be in place now due to the large influx of new parties thus more parties are needing representation. |

Random fact: It usually takes up to an hour for election results to generate. During this time, the "Next Election" date is put forward a month, which is confusing. Do not worry! In a short time, the election result will generate and the "Next Election" date will then correct itself. |
