Message | Choice party an excellent bill! We here at Arch believe students should go to school till the age of 16, then they should have the freedom to choose if they still want to stay in education or leave and go into employment. Not all people want to be in school and would prefer to be in work! The people should have the freedom choose! |

Message | Mr. Speaker, The LIP believes that compulsory education until 20 will maintain a high standard for education in the Empire. By throurghly educating citizens before they are adults we will have a well educated populus able to compete in a modern job market. The LIP oppose this bill. I yield. |

Message | 20 years of age is rather extreme however, 18 would be understandable but 20? Besides, people will still have the OPTION for education beyond 16, it's just that those who wish not to and have better uses outside of education have the choice not to. Plus this way, it will be easier for more deserving people to be able to get good jobs as they have willingly earned the opportunity for a good job while those who have not bothered won't be wasting taxpayers money. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, Even though the government is mandating education until 20 years old, the people will be able to get job experience after leaving school through a program of mandatory national service. Likewise, people can be notoriously lazy concerning things they do not want to do. Give them a way out and they will take it. By mandating education until 20, the government would be instilling a positive and helpful work ethic in citizens, allowing them to contribute more in the workforce and become better Luthori citizens. I yield. |

Message | If people are notoriously lazy, isn't it best to let them drown in their poverty and laziness, and instead reward the people who DO care? |

Message | Mr. Speaker, What if students wants to take "GAP" years? Their be unable to, as we force children to go to school till their 20 and then they have to do a year of national service, our citizen will be 21 when they can have the freedom to choose what they want to do, by which time they need to start working and earning for themselves! We need to stop forcing the will of the government on the people, this will only damage the empire in the long term. I yield. |

Message | If we continue to dictate and oppress our people in this unfair way, they will eventually rebel, while as if we give them the freedom they deserve, it will strengthen the nation! |

Message | Mr. Speaker, As far asthe LIP know, the Empire has no laws mandating people to work. At the end of the day, people still have the choice to take these "gap" year(s). They can subsidize this style of break with the money earned through their mandatory service. Likewise, while there are several laws forcing the people to do certain things like receive an education and work immediately after schooling finishes, it doesn't seem too bad for the people of the Empire. It isn't like we force them to vote for a particluar party. The people have the freedom to vote, to choose which jobs to work in among other freedoms. Therefore the LIP do not see how the Empire is treating its citizens poorly. I yield. |

Message | But why make all of that go on for TWENTY ONE years? Wouldn't you agree that's excessive? Up to eighteen perhaps but TWENTY ONE? |

Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context. |
