Bill: Income tax proposal of December 3832

Details

Submitted by[?]: Democratic Alliance Party (DAP)

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes to change income taxes. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 3833

Description[?]:

The Fair Budget Act (FBA) intends to balance out the distribution of tax, with the poorest paying the least, and the richest paying the most.

The FBA will lead to a Đ1,549,480,000,000 surplus which is an increase of Đ321,827,225,971 from Đ1,227,652,774,029 meaning we can spend more money on public services, creating a richer and fairer society.
The tax increase is a fairly distributed one, with a majority seeing a tax cut rather than a tax increase.

MessageMr Speaker,

We would like a less complicated as well as a less bureaucratic tax system with fewer brackets. We would prefer only one, but we could also agree upon e.g. three. This could also result in a higher revenue, which we do support.
