Bill: OOC RP Bill: Faction System

Details

Submitted by[?]: 姬恩黨 (Jien Faction) 🌄

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 4017

Description[?]:

Political parties are banned in Indrala, however, political factions are explicitly allowed.

Political factions are essentially special interest groups representing a specific societal group(s) or schools of thought.

For example, the Jienpai represents the School of Jienism, along with educators, government workers, and landowners who ascribe to Jienism.

Factions representing Cheng Daenists (a minority group in Indrala), versions of Guidao that exclude Jienism (OOC: like religious Daoists), authoritarians/totalitarians (OOC like the Legalists), egalitarians (OOC: like Mohists), mystic elementalists (OOC: like the school of Yin and Yang), sophists and dialectics (OOC: like the Logicians), diplomats and politicians (OOC: like the school of diplomacy), farmers (of more peasant stock) (OOC: like the school of agriculture), libertines and hedonists (OOC: like the school of Yang), and the military (OOC: like the school of the military).

The key here is that all of these groups support the monarchical institutions and derive authority from them. In essence, these groups work within the system to bring about change from the top down. Minor changes to the institutions can occur, for example, moving to the "viceroy/governor-general system". Thus, republican parties are explicitly banned.

This bill is considered to be constitutional and must be passed with a 2/3 vote. As such, it can only be repealed with a 2/3 vote.
