Bill: Lowering the Age of Compulsory Education to 18
Details
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 3839
Description[?]:
Currently, the age of compulsory education is at 20, which in our opinion id ridiculously high. In the past we have proposed changing this to 16 but other parties have expressed that they believe this is too low. So for now we will compromise and propose lowering the age to 18, which in our opinion is a much more sensible age than 20. Besides pupils still have the option to go onto higher education anyway, it's just not mandatory. |

Random fact: By default the head of government is the ultimate authority within a national government. In general terms, heads of government are expected to consult with cabinet colleagues (including those from other parties) before making significant decisions but they remain responsible for government action. |
